Encore Xtra Aftertreatment
Available on EPA 2017 and 2021/CARB 2022 B6.7, L9, X15 automotive engines in the United States and Canada.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Different requirements apply for Encore Xtra Aftertreatment Add-on. Please refer to Encore Xtra Aftertreatment Add-on guidelines.
- The engine must be outside of 18 months from the DIS or have reached 200,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
- All existing extended coverage must be expired including any Major Components coverage.
- This Plan is available to the first or subsequent owner of the Engine.
- Coverage is available one time, per owner.
- Coverage start date is the date the coverage is purchased and invoiced.
- Encore Xtra Aftertreatment coverage does not apply to Cummins ReCon engines.
- Inspection and repairs must be completed. Coverage cost does not include the cost of qualification inspection.
- Pre-Existing failures are not covered under this plan.
- Inspection form must be completed and signed by an authorized Cummins distributor or dealer.
- After inspection, coverage must be applied (the engine put into service) within 6 months or 500 miles. The eligibility must be still met.
- Engine must meet age and usage requirements and pass an inspection by an authorized Cummins Distributor or Dealer.
- Participating engine must be within the listed years and mileage from DIS to qualify for coverage.
Encore Xtra Plan 1 engine coverage of greater or equal duration must be purchased to be eligible for Encore Xtra aftertreatment coverage.

2021 Engines
The maximum coverage duration on a 2021 Performance Series HD diesel engine cannot exceed 6 years/600,000 miles (965,606 kilometers).
The maximum coverage duration on a 2021 Efficiency Series HD diesel engine cannot exceed 7 years/750,000 miles (1,207,008 kilometers).
The maximum coverage duration on a 2021 MD diesel engine cannot exceed 7 years/300,000 miles (482,803 kilometers).
If the engine exceeds either the max start year or mileage/kilometers below, then the engine does not qualify for coverage.

The maximum coverage duration on a 2017 HD diesel engine cannot exceed 7 years/750,000 miles (1,207,008 kilometers).
The maximum coverage duration on a 2017 MD diesel engine cannot exceed 7 years/300,000 miles (482,803 kilometers).
If the engine exceeds either the max start year or mileage/kilometers below, then the engine does not qualify for coverage.
